They looks very similar to each other, really.
And the production time matches, if i remember it correctly, 1983.

I thought it was a Mercedes Benz E-class wagon from the 70's or 80's just based on how the brand logo is two spokes short.

Lets just say that this car is the personification of all station wagons of the 70s and 80s.
Its got the character of an American station wagon, the utility and problems of a German wagon, and the quirks of a British wagon.

How the car looks after you've come back from a high instability run is actually how British Leyland used to deliver their cars "factory fresh" in the 70s and 80s ;-)
