Car constantly breaking down

All was fine for quite a long time, but now I can't drive 50meters without a tire flattening, a fuel reservoir leaking or a battery oxidizing. I also notice some panels and doors lose life even when doing nothing.

I can't collect any resources or move at any pace because I spend 80% of my time fixing something.

It's part of the game, upgrading the car and removing quirks helps tremendously with the car survival plus if it's that frustrating to you, turn on the option that removes damage upon returning to the garage and you can also turn on the option to keep your stuff if you fail. I decided to reply to quickly help you learn that there are options in the game to solve this issue if you're willing to use them.

Car parts keep track of how many miles you've used them for, and you can see the amount on the inventory screen. After a certain amount, they become more susceptible to bad effects, and eventually get ones you can't fix, like Fragile on panels. At that point you just have to replace them.

I don't think this applies to starred parts you find, though. They always seem to have huge mileage on them from the beginning and I've never seen them develop problems.
