car DLC / harder mode
I would pay to have the smaller car the company used as a DLC sorta like a new game plus.

It would be fun to try to beat the game in a Squire.

I agree, there are two options - either just a DLC car with a continuation of the plot, or you can add equipment like a car designer, where you can choose the type of body or even the model of the car - Remnant according to the plot is not an ordinary car. Theoretically, with the help of LIM technology, it would be possible to change the car body (having previously disassembled it completely in the garage down to the hull) like teleporting a car over short distances, and then attach the remaining parts back. The Squire looks good, but given the off-road, I would like to see more SUVs in the game from the same time period as Remnant (Ford Country Squire) - i.e. 70-90 years of production. Ford Bronco, Land Rover Defender, Land Rover Discovery, Jeep Cherokee, Chevrolet Blazer, Dodge Ramcharger. My favorite is the Hummer H1 and M998 Humvee, the game lacks military vehicles with good protection and cross-country ability (do we have a secret exclusion zone here or a club of country camping enthusiasts?). Also, the Humvee is great for mounting useful equipment on the roof. Did the military really drive regular civilian vehicles with makeshift protection attached while in such a dangerous area? I'm sure we should see abandoned M939s and Humvees on the roads regularly, and they can be added as player vehicles - good capacity and lots of useful space for equipment, as well as protection from radiation and other threats. Civilian vehicles like the Remnant are nice and nostalgic, but useless for such extreme conditions, as evidenced by the thousands of abandoned wrecks on the roads in the game.

Humvees and M939s would be a bit too new for them to send to the zone with their production starting in 1985 and 1982 respectfully and the zone being closed off in 1987, they would be sending them over to Europe and military bases across the USA 1st.
Got to remember that the cold war hasn't ended yet when the sealed everything up

On the one hand, yes - for this time setting, the M39 series or M809 series 5-ton 6×6 trucks would be more suitable, and as an army SUV, some of the Commercial Utility Cargo Vehicles like the Dodge M880/M890 Series or M1009 Chevrolet K5 Blazer, the latter was also used by law enforcement (it would also be a good fit for ARDA as a protected SUV). On the other hand, the game has conventions and not all of the cars presented in the game correspond to each other in terms of production time - for example, ARDA trucks (Autocar ACL) are noticeably more modern in design than some other cars on the map (Ford LTD or Dodge Aries).
It's even curious - would it be possible to add an element of cargo transportation in the mix up style of Snowrunner and Death Stranding on the dangerous roads of the Zone to the game and use a truck or van for this job. And even build a plot around, after all, Francis remains with us at the end of the game.

I like the extra challenge of having less attachment points with a more nimble car. Changes the game a lot.
