Pretty sure I installed the latest patches.
I think I found the problem though, but again, uncertain.
I think the problem occurs because I always save on a new save slot. The last time I played I overwrote a save slot so I'll see now if that's the problem or not, next time I launch.
Thank you for the reply by the way.
No problem! Keep us updated - want to make sure you get to play the game the way you'd like. 👍
Overwriting a save slot saves your settings.
Like I said, the last time I played I saved both on a new save slot and overwrote one.
Today I launch and the new save reset to default but the overwrote one kept all my settings.
I guess that's something for your next patch :)
Edit: I bought the game because of the drive it your way patch. Not a fan of being able to save only in garage but the patch let me chose to not lose everything if I have to leave the game for an emergency.
Circling back to confirm that you have found a very rare edge case where starting from zero with no existing saves causes the game to reset to default settings when starting a new game. We're on it. 👍
Let me show you step by step what I mean:
1. Start the game

2. Load game (I'm loading the save slot I overwrote the last time I played. Meaning I saved on an already used save slot, hence overwriting it. This is not a new game. I had played a couple missions on this save.

This is the settings I use. which are saved

3. Exit and load game from the save slot which was a new one. Meaning when I saved I used an empty save slot

These are the settings returned to default when loading a save created from an empty save slot

I hope I'm clearer now. It happens (for me) whenever I use an empty save slot. I only have 1 empty save slot left so it might not do it again after that.
Also note that there is a great lack of the ability to skip the waiting time (sleep or just scroll through time) like in Snowrunner, "fast nights" are not suitable because of the duration for skipping until a convenient time for you to leave the garage.
You missed it. It was earlier in the thread.
So make your initial saves, change your settings, and then overwriting those saves should keep it.
