New content?
So is there any new content planned or is it just going to be cosmetic dlc? I'd very much like to play this game more, but I've done everything there is to do.

Frankly, I'm surprised this game's already had as much updates as it got; feature-rich complete single-player games don't get the live service treatment. (Which is fine; we like finished products.)

But you don't need an excuse to play it more outside of you just enjoying the game.
I did it twice lol. There's always the added difficulties.

I would be shocked if there was any more story DLC. They'd have to get the VAs for more of that, etc., etc., and given that everyone except Francis is gone by the end of the story you'd have to pull something very out of left field to eke out new content. The mystery of the Zone has been resolved.

They have a perfect idea for a small DLC baked into the story already. The hunt for the elusive bigfoot.

i think they need to add more areas to the overall map, perhaps new expansion parts for your garage, and car...new tools, etc...

Adding mod support is what i'm begging for. This is what can keep this game alive for very long.

I think a rouge-like mode would be pretty cool. Starting in a base station wagon and trying to drive as far as you can while needing to survive purely off of salvage until you die. If you hit certain mile stones before your run ends you could have special parts for your car in the main game.

With the paid cosmetic DLCs they also add some free cosmetics and maybe some small things like Jet or a cosmetic change that allows players to paint headlights (could be useful) and wheels (useless due to the texture of the wheels).
They also worked on the map, adding new forks. They've added difficulty level settings and seem to have given players the ability to upload their own music to the game (although this has had issues that I'm not sure how to fix).
They definitely haven't abandoned the game, but I myself can't be sure if players will get anything more out of it.
Brand new zones with new scenery and anomalies, new weather conditions, improved damage system.
In theory - There are a lot of things you could do with this game to try and diversify it even more and make it either more interesting or unbearable from the mere idea that all of your Lim-tech can behave erratically and can affect your gameplay more than just turning it off.
