AMD Graphics Crashes - Driver 24.7.1 Known Issue

Hello everyone! Swinging by here to give you all a heads up and hopefully provide a direction for anyone on an AMD GPU who's seeing crashes on launch for Pacific Drive.

Currently, there's issues with 24.7.1 drivers crashing games -running in DX11 and in DX12. At the moment, there's no clear solution other than rolling back to an earlier driver for your AMD GPU. Here's a video tutorial on how to do that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U_7JF4np9T8

We've seen the reports and have a record of the crashes you all are experiencing, with some users reporting limited success for switching to DX11. While I understand that this is a frustrating issue, we're doing what we can by giving you all this information and hopefully pointing you towards a solution that gets you back in game.

24.6.1 here and it crashes on launching a new game. DX12.

Just wanted to add that I tested DX12 and not DX11.

It could very well work in DX11 on newer drivers but on 24.5.1 DX11 kills performance so I never bothered testing it on any newer drivers.

I've mentioned it on the update post but I have been able to run the game with the latest drivers with DX11 (24.7.1) with a 6700XT

Game crash when start new game , not matter what driver i have on my RX7700XT.
edit : game work with latest driver but only in DX11

This is a known issue, for better stability you'll want to roll your drivers back.

Weird wording. Games? Plural? What other games are crashing since I couldn't find one? Pacific Drive were crashing on 24.6.1 so naturally I've updated to the newest one. Really it's not a big deal, I will just wait for the game update, but don't pin it on a driver "issues". You guys just didn't test it on AMD system and that's the end of the story.

I'm on a Rog Stix laptop with RX 6800M and I am unable to play the game AT ALL for the past month. No driver rollback fixes it anymore for me, neither does switching between dx11 and dx12. this is utterly frustrating and disappointing :(

THIS + AMD performance was thrash in the first place, it was super unoptimised as compared to other games, but now the game doesn't start AT ALL for me

For those wondering: latest game update did't fix those crashes.
It is still solely AMDs fault for releasing such awful driver that is so broken that it ONLY crashes one and only game /s

Same even with that driver with DX12 it crashes for me upon starting a new game in Traveling... screen. I just bought this game, not a good first impression.

This is just awful and I will now explain why. I have two PC systems on RX 6600 XT and a laptop on GTX 1650m 50 W. On PC, the game works only with the old version of drivers, giving 60 FPS on medium graphics settings, and at the same time the video card never loads more than 80% on dx12, on dx11 the game with the same settings gives only 30 FPS, which is just ridiculous. On my laptop, which is exactly half as powerful as my PC, the game gives 50 frames with the same graphics settings. The conclusions are obvious and apparently this game will have to be put on the back burner until the problems with optimization and drivers on AMD are solved.

Update on this with my AMD 6800 XT GPU @ 1440p default graphics settings. I reverted to 24.5.1 and it works with DX12 as a poster here said earlier. Also getting ~60 fps with the that driver. In 24.6.1 I experience the same performance with DX 11 getting more or less 60, but crashes upon launching with DX12. In 24.7.1 DX11 the performance is worse with 30+ fps in the starting area, dx12 also crashing.
