Confused by the area map

So this is probably a stupid question but I don't remember seeing anything about it in game....

But I entered an area on the map and about 5 minutes after entering the area I noticed a yellow blob on the ARC map that kept getting larger and larger.... What is that? I don't recall seeing anything about it and the map legend doesn't have a description for a big yellow glowing blob on the map. I wasn't sure if it was a storm, or instability, or if it goes away or what.

Anyone have some insight?

An irregular blob traveling across the map is a storm, watch out for high winds and more active anomalies. Also check zone conditions, there are some like "acid storms' in the MId Zone that are exactly what it says on the tin.

They generally pass through, but IIRC there might be a zone condition that causes one to linger.

Zone Collapse is a regular circle closing in from the edges, and has diagonal lines outside the circle to show the zone of radiation.
