Progress and randomness
Basically I want to ask players if they are experiencing similar problems or not.
I completed the story of the game some time ago. I also managed to completely improve the garage and unlock all the parts for the car. I have gaps in my clothing, but that's a matter of time.
But here's the catch:
I have a feeling that some progress doesn't count and maybe some random items simply may never get to you once.
So throughout my entire playthrough, I don't remember a single time that a car or truck other than the standard steel car and summer tires showed up in my garage.
My quirks are usually quite monotonous and extremely sparse in comparison to what could have been there in the first place.
Some anomalies I still haven't encountered.
Deco-Vend tried for a while to give me cosmetics that I HAVE, but then started giving me paint and tools.
There are weirder things like the fact that the user manual also has gaps in it. Seriously, these are basically notes on the game itself, aren't they? Shouldn't I have gotten them all?
Add to that pile the remaining notes and Zones, notes on anomalies, part statuses and other things and you get a bunch of gaps that I just don't know how to fill in.
Is it the same for you?

Quirks are random. You can change from in-game settings how severe they are and how often they appear.

Once you have all the cosmetics, it either gives you duplicate ones, or tools. If you do miss 1-2 cosmetics, look if you have cosmetics DLC bought, since those cosmetics also count towards 100% in the game (including logbook entries).

I haven't finished the game, so, i can't comment on how many logbook entries one can unlock in total.

- There are a few things I haven't gotten yet. Maybe they can only be found, I don't know.

Based on the notes, it looks like the game is having trouble scanning, maybe it's also having trouble getting things.

Quirks - They showed a video once where there was a quirk that would cause parts of your car to fall off, but in my case it's very simple.
Either the hood would pop open when driving backwards, or the radio/wipers/headlights/dashboard/light would go wobbly. I haven't noticed anything serious.

As I wrote - I have gaps in the users manual and garage, although I have completed the story, fully upgraded the garage and recently got all the clothes.
So- also have gaps in the part condition effects. I usually try to fix them and replace parts that have gotten permanent wear and tear. Maybe I don't need to do that to be able to see more? I don't know.

Car part status effects are random. E.g i haven't gotten Swollen (battery) thus far, nor the Burned Out (headlight), Smashed (headlight) and Busted (engine).
i guess, if you aren't careful enough, you'll get more status effects.

Like i said, you can change the quirks severity from game settings. I too have disabled harmful quirks (for convenience) and i haven't gotten any bad quirks either.

Well, it all seems very strange for a game where randomness and various problems are an important part of the gameplay.

If you keep a battery on your car when it's done more than 50 miles it's only a matter of time till it becomes Swollen. Same for the engine and Busted.

But yes, if you play carefully, replacing parts in time, always trying to keep the car in good condition etc. you may well lose out on certain log entries.

Well, I think I've encountered battery implosion. I think so. Waiting for the engine to die is dangerous, as carrying a spare engine is not very profitable, and hoping to meet a friendly dumpster and get a gift from it is not a good idea at all.

With engine, there are 2 status effects: Misfire (fixed by mechanics kit) and Busted.

Did get Busted status in the mid zone, when belching barnacle shot rotten egg onto my car. As soon as i started to drive, got white puff of smoke from under the hood and engine warning light.
Luckily, Busted engine status is also repaired with mechanics kit.
So, no need to carry around 2nd engine. But do keep a spare in your garage (i'm running turbolight while i have carburator and AMP engines as spares).

Maybe some of the effects are related to permanent effects and part breakage effects like exploding tires, blowing up batteries (or something like that)?
I'm trying different modules and trying not to remove parts with reduced durability and maybe ignore fixing some effects.
Maybe that will get results, I don't know.
I'll have to hope it clears up when the developers release the next update.

There are definitely issues with the car spawn, the Deco-Vend, and missing post-game unique spawns that have been documented elsewhere on this forum (the latter two often, but not always, by myself). Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a solution outside of waiting for the next patch.

Ye. But the official server is still pretty quiet and I don't know when they'll even release an update to fix all this.
I like the idea of this game, but it still needs polishing and adding something new to make it look better.
The game has atmosphere, but for me it beats the limited supply of assets.
You can customize your vehicle, but in my opinion and it could have been more.
I think you can understand my feelings on this. It's a good game, but it could be even better.
