In addition to this? If the area has a high instability, shown by an orange blob on the route map around a zone? There is a chance to have an anchor type different from the zone. For example getting unstable anchors in an outer zone location. Mouse over the zone once you scan it, or a route running through it. The upper right corner will have two bars, the upper with a clock symbol showing roughly how long the zone has till it collapses. If the zone is Perpetually Stable then it won't until you open a gateway.
The other is a bar showing the amount of anchor energy, and the symbol to the left of the bar shows the anchor type. Yellow and two vertical lines for a stable anchor, red and two angled lines for unstable ones, and purple with an arrow mark for corrupted.
Also when pulling anchors where the zone said they'd be unstable? I've occasionally found one of the anchors was actually corrupted.
