Does the battery stop draining when the car is off?
So, I know this is a magic card, and the car engine doesn't charge the battery. Can anyone know if it still drains during the following?
1. Car is on (I assume yes, duh)
2. Car is off, but lights or wipers are on.
3. Car if off, lights and wipers are off? I assume no, but that screen is still on.

1. Car is on = consumes only fuel
2. Car is off, light are on = no fuel consumption, power consumes
3. If everything is of nothing will be consumed. Wipers doesnt use electricity
You can use Dome lights to see your car better in darkness

The lights are the only thing that's stated to have a power requirement. I think it's just our real world logic wanting to apply to the wipers and radio, but I think the games reasoning is yeah, you'll always have some drain no matter what because of all the sci stuff in your passenger seat you need to keep running. Maybe if you get enough power generating tech you can overcome the LIM techs constant power requirements, but I have not gotten that far yet.

18 hours in this game before I discovered the completely normally positioned, entirely expected dome light.

Well the arc engine obviously uses power too. The only way i've been able to keep it stable / least drain slower is by having 4x wind turbines on the side of the car. And if im lucky finding a hopped up bunny. or 2.

Earnestly i think 1 side battery, 1 wind turbine, and 1 lightning rod do a great job of keeping the battery up. Yeah you may have to jump it a time or two on the longer trips if you're spamming abilities but battery recharge items are pretty cheap to make at least.

I definitely noticed the dome light when I got my first quirk. If I shut my hood, which installing counted as shutting in this case, the dome light would toggle. If I hadn't gotten that I may never have noticed lol.

More on topic, though, I've heard radio also drains the battery, but I almost never use it or when I do the generators on my car pick up the slack. So I can't say if that's accurate.

You also can have battery drain on certain Zones of the game.
It will tell you once you arrive on them.

Had tried something similar but eventually decided, if it rains, it'll probably be windy, if it's dark the solar panel is useless, I rarely get hit by lightning, so turbines make more sense, they also charge when driving along
