Option for Unlimited Decal & Paint

I'd love to be able to use decals & paint without worrying about running out. It would allow us to experiment more freely.

When the game started and tobias was talking about remnants, i was hoping when he and francis mentioned the paint can that could produce any color that it would be an actual super rare thing you could find. An option would be great too though because at the mid zone point, i've forgone painting and decal work because i'm still trying to find a happy medium.

yeah, you kinda have to save before trying them out - BUT if you disassamble the painted parts you will get back (and I might be wrong here) a full paint/sticker

i was confused as to why that wasnt in the list of options. it feels like such an obvious thing to include especially since the current set up just encourages you not to bother in general

Same here, I applied paint, tried decals, and in both cases it was pretty underwhelming.

I could barely see it (decal), then I saw that it was an expendable resource on top of that (though I did get the decal back when I switched out to another type of door) so I've opted to just ignore it, though I still collect and store them when I get either.

Gotta use that shelf for something.

I'd prefer to get more of the add-ons like the shifter knobs or bobble heads, etc. Those have all been really rare for me.

The DLC ones are infinite, the roll of decals just re-appears on the shelf if you use it up. While there's a few rarer colors of paint (forest green, only found ONE so far!) for the basic colors I wouldn't worry about it too much, I've been grinding them as I literally have full shelves of each color after only a few hours....

I've had some fun with it. It's something I enjoy doing when I don't have time to make another run. I can see what you mean, tho. Some of the paints & decals are pretty unremarkable. However, I've found some that are sweet, but it's hard to use them since I like to change the look often & I don't want to lose my rare paints & decals.

To be honest, I was expecting decals and paints to be unlocks. The current system isn't great, and you'll eventually run out of cosmetics space. You could salvage them for some extra materials like chemicals, but still.

Most of the decals I really don't like either, the deluxe edition child drawing ♥♥♥♥ is the thing I use because it glows in the dark, which actually is handy to be honest. Car customization could use a proper redesigning imo.

I figured they would be unlocks as well, but I do like that I can add decals to each individual part. So far the retro & camo are the only decals I really like. I just wish I could do camo as paint with the retro on top.

I haven't found that one yet, but glow in the dark sounds pretty sweet.

Would honestly love that as a solution to this. Fits with the lore and would be a fantastic reward for exploring. Maybe it would just save the decals and paints you already found and then lets you select whichever one you want.
