Transmuter?
How does the Transmuter work exactly? i put in the prybar but it spits out the prybar instantly.

OP didn't provide the transmuter with enough prybars for it to engage.

Yeah same as for fabrics, it spit it back without transforming it. I think it's broken ATM

Throwing in 2 did the trick, thank you!

throw in 7 see what happens

What even is transmutation anyway? I put in two gears in this transmuter I found, and it spitted them back out, I see a pie circle that is completely filled up now, sure, but... what does it even do?

It usually has blue pie icons for the amount needed to make 1. So if you see one with 5 blue pie slices you need to put in 5 of something to get one. I personally never found it worth it unless I was totally out of something I needed and the Transmuter just happened to be offering what I needed.

Transmuting turns items (on the left) into another (right) sometimes the trade is decent (plastic for chemicals) sometimes its awful (something uncommon for something common)

As seen on the post it can take multiple quantities to turn into the transmuted item

I was really upset because I saw one in the deep zone that wanted scrap metal for lim magnets.

I have like 1000+ scrap at my base and had zero on me at the time.

now im sitting here struggling to get magnets reliably lmao.

The transmuter uses are finite so if you used all your scrap up till that point you probably used the charges

Is that what it is? I figured it was a ratio needed for 1. Makes sense.
One thing I did notice is all the transmuters in a level seem to all be the same.

The only thing I know to be true is that the pie slice thing indicates charges. From previous posts I don't think there's a way to find out how many of item A it requires to give you item B (initially i thought there was a correlation with the blue LED's around the radius but nope

I dont think its a 1:1 ratio, because ive come up to transmuters that ive never used, put in 1 of what it asks for and never got the item it was supposed to put out so they do have some kind of ratio which is why I assumed the pie was for how much to put in. The Pacemaker is the one that has unlimited uses with a conversion list that never changes.

it's definately not a 1 to 1 ratio. Yesterday I had 7:1 Glaass to electrics

wtf is this bs, I put in 7 cogwheels and it still spits them out
