Best Panels?
I've got the lead plated on right now, but should I switch to the Armored? Or is there a good mix of both that you all thinks works?

Panels apply some of their resistence to nearby parts, so the more you have of one the higher your resistance is to that damage type basically across the board, its appears in the V menu at the bottom near the part name you're looking at to see that calculation.
Theres definitely a optimum way to place parts to get a strong resistance to at least two parts, but note that doors have less resistance than panels do. Personally I'd stick impact resistance parts (armor) on the four panels around the edges and probably radiation on the doors and hood, but i haven't made that many speciality parts yet so i don't know if thats actually a good layout.
Also note that the hood is technically a panel and not a door.

my go to for panels and doors is all lead doors and insulated side panels, and i sometimes use armored on the hood with the armored bumper and that works decently.
Currently I'm just starting to breach the end zone and you're pretty good just running steel panels and doors. I generally try to not repair in the zone using resource but absolutely make the most of repair stations and the matter regenerator at home

Lead parts are useless tbh. Olympium <- Armored <- Induction.

As for the corrisive resist.. I honestly never got hit by acid, really. Minutemen from wriggling wrecks certainly got me though.
