I see no reason why they couldn't have made them like the detailing station where you just need to collect them once.
Thank you for revealing to me the fact that these can deconstruct into chemicals. Goodbye paint, hello repair putty.
EDIT: I've been lied to.
As a hoarder I can attest to this when it comes to cosmetic items lol.. I should really start to do this to farm out the chemicals for the putty stock between crafting blowtorches.
It's in the drop rate. You can also get pressurized containers, fabrics, and I believe plastic/scrap metal.
Then the management is easy: new discovered paints go in. Extra paints go out. After the locker is full everything goes into deconstructor.
I would love this, even if it was a research upgrade for the detailing station.
The second best thing would be the pneumatic lockers, I haven't tried so assuming they can go in them. Unfortunately pressing Y doesn't seem to sort those lockers and they aren't auto-sorted nor are they searchable as far as I can tell so that isn't great either.
You're not alone. It was such a beautiful dream, too. Like having more than enough plasma.
