i tried the puncture proof tires but they go so horribly slow and skid so badly offroad that its basically the same as having a flat anyway
I don't know, I haven't had too many issues with them but I learned to compensate at the right time with the puncture-proof ones :D
I just got tired of all the rampant acid damage eating through my tires in the later stages. Also, I drove with a blow out and it's a lot worse, in my experience at least, than the puncture proof ones but that's a YMMV thing :)
Never tried all terrain tires.
offroad has the best traction, you will never slip ever. great turning as well.
allroad tires are generally faster in general but much less traction meaning you will slip and turn on slippery slopes and slide down hills.
they are both good but in general offroad is much better imo.
I would not use anything but these two late game. puncture proof is basically useless.
But man, they seem to fail pretty quickly. I had one run where I got the achievement for fixing a single part 6 or more times cause I was CONSTANTLY getting flats on these tires. They weren't even giving the "Bald" warning. Just going flat all the damn time.
There's one other thing I wanted to mention. As tires wear down they become more susceptible to puncturing and misalignment, that's why sometimes you end up having to fix a dozen punctures or so in a run for no apparent reason. My rule of thumb is to recycle and replace the tires every 5 or 6 runs even if there's nothing visibly wrong with them. I haven't had to fix a random pop in a long time.
Hah. I also got that achievement on one of the offroad tyres.
True, but that is 2.0 stable energy, and you have about 4 if you pull all the anchors on the first mission. You need 1 to build the scanning antenna. Within the first few runs, sure. But you can do Sierram the first time without them, especially if you upgrade to Summer Tires just to get a matching set.
The off-road status is the only one that really matters.
