Off-road Tire VS All Terrain Tire
So i just finish "Little Request" quest and after travel 2 location i got well enough unstable Anchor to upgrade Off-road to All Terrain. But when i compare stats of both tire, myself think Off-road tire still better then all terrain . Since All terrain did is upgrade Road Rating from B>A. At this point i around nearly 20 hours playtime and i pretty sure that we bearly driving on road. So this upgrade is not worth (for me atleast) . What is everyone think ?

I used offroads for the longest time but then switched to puncture-proof ones as I would always get a blow out on the offroad tires at some point. The stages with unstable and corrupt anchors have so much acid damage (hot dust and cough boxes are everywhere even when you go out of your way to avoid spots with acid anomalies like belching barnacles) that you burn through tires like crazy.

Sure, the car was a bit harder to handle when going fast on rough terrain but the last thing I wanted to happen was a tire getting blown out while I am going for a gateway or something.

i tried the puncture proof tires but they go so horribly slow and skid so badly offroad that its basically the same as having a flat anyway

I don't know, I haven't had too many issues with them but I learned to compensate at the right time with the puncture-proof ones :D

I just got tired of all the rampant acid damage eating through my tires in the later stages. Also, I drove with a blow out and it's a lot worse, in my experience at least, than the puncture proof ones but that's a YMMV thing :)

If you're lucky enough to get the speed booster quirk (I got up on my windscreen wipers.) You can go as fast as you want and up any hill with off road tyres.

I just use the puncture proof tires. They can offroad well enough especially when paired with nitro and they never go flat (which stops me having to fix the tires nearly as often).

Never tried all terrain tires.

from my 70 hours

offroad has the best traction, you will never slip ever. great turning as well.

allroad tires are generally faster in general but much less traction meaning you will slip and turn on slippery slopes and slide down hills.

they are both good but in general offroad is much better imo.

I would not use anything but these two late game. puncture proof is basically useless.

Going from Summer to Off Road tires was a game changer and you should rush getting them ASAP.

But man, they seem to fail pretty quickly. I had one run where I got the achievement for fixing a single part 6 or more times cause I was CONSTANTLY getting flats on these tires. They weren't even giving the "Bald" warning. Just going flat all the damn time.

Offroad tires are my go-to for most situations, although I switch my front tires to puncture proofs when I go to the scorch because of those pesky spike logs.

There's one other thing I wanted to mention. As tires wear down they become more susceptible to puncturing and misalignment, that's why sometimes you end up having to fix a dozen punctures or so in a run for no apparent reason. My rule of thumb is to recycle and replace the tires every 5 or 6 runs even if there's nothing visibly wrong with them. I haven't had to fix a random pop in a long time.

Hah. I also got that achievement on one of the offroad tyres.

I use all terrain on the front offroad on the back.

True, but that is 2.0 stable energy, and you have about 4 if you pull all the anchors on the first mission. You need 1 to build the scanning antenna. Within the first few runs, sure. But you can do Sierram the first time without them, especially if you upgrade to Summer Tires just to get a matching set.

Agreed that the later wheels are not necessarily upgrades - unless you've found some bizarre way to keep the power grip wheel's ability on at all times. It depends on how much time you spend on and off the road - with the caveat the grip is far more important in off road settings then roads as roads are friendly environments to begin with.
Dix Dark 7 mar. 2024 às 3:38
I tried AT and will go back to off-road, liked them better - most of the terrain is off-road anyway, and off-road tires are cheaper to make.
The off-road status is the only one that really matters.

Can we all agree power grip tires are awful? I tried using all four and the combined ability can drain any battery in seconds. The extra grip doesn't seem that significant anyway.
