it's in the tutorial still isn't? That's probably why. They expect you to complete the tutorial through in one go.

The game doesn't respect your time, it auto saves between nose transition or when you are at the garage.

HA! Mine didn't, apparently. I went all the way through to the first zone and my game froze while I was in the menus reading my journals.

I had to crash the game and when I came back in .... I was right back at the beginning, just after being zapped inside the wall. F*** THAT. I'm going to replay all of my steps sometime later, thankyouverymuch.

Guys... stop complaining. The save system fits perfectly with the game design and is of course completely intentional. The ability to save/reload at any time during a run would completely destroy the game design.

If you are not able to play for more than 30 minutes straight, do not buy these types of games. You can play on mobile.

So indeed, if a crash occurs, we can lose several tens of minutes of play: it's a shame but it's not the end of the world. In addition, the game is rather stable and crashes are really not frequent (I personally haven't experienced any).

We should all try to be less critical and try to understand what the developers are getting at. That way you'll be a lot less frustrated and you'll be able to enjoy the games more serenely :)

Pacific Drive is a real nugget, developed by a very small team. We should be encouraging them, not destroying them because we've lost half an hour due to a crash, it's not that serious ;)

haha nice copium fanboy. Apparently devs admitted somewhere that its too difficult to implement saving for them. whats your logic behind having in game options to turn off damage to car, damage to character, infinite petrol, weak or no anomealies etc etc but not an option to save? :D

reminds me the last epoch this complete joke of a game where they made an ARPG and fanboys chant that its the diablo killer.. while every time you use town portal or teleport, the map resets. so If you port from a dead looted dungeon boss to town, you can go back and the boss will be there ready to farm again, if you port from a room of five big epic chests that youve just looted and port back... theyre full ready for you to open and exploit, of course also anything that was on the floor gets erased because the map always resets. it just breaks the whole arpg structure. and devs couldnt fix it so they said its a feature. exactly the same thing :D pathetic

edit: Ive just noticed you dont own the game. wtf omg gtfo

I enjoyed playing the demo. I hated the saving mechanism. Question to players who own the game, say I load in a mission but discovered that I need to leave. Is there a way to summon the gate anytime or do I have to complete the mission at hand to be able to return to the garage?

I can deal with this retired saving mechanism if they give me the option to get back and save easily.

It's not about 30 minutes, it's about being able to get out of the game at any point without losing progress.
You know the difference?

They say that saving during a mission is impossible because of possible abuse, but that's nonsense.

It doesn't matter how many chests of junk I can bring back from a mission, even a hundred pieces, if that's what I'm interested in - so why not?

If this is true then I am not getting this game. Also, I agree with you. What is the problem? It is a single player game not a PvP where they worry about balance and abuse. They literally have options to turn off everything. Why does it matter if players stack on materials or play in God Mode .. look at Subnautica. It is a single player survivor game that can be played as is or as a God .. it really a very rigid way to look at the game if they only want to present the game in their own vision and allow it to be played in only a certain way. That limits their target audience a lot.

The game saves after every junction, you can literally reload it and you'll pop back out at the entrance of that area, though said zone will reroll it's items n such. I've had to reload after getting stuck against a steep hill and some support girders, nothing was lost except a bit of time.
