Removing Rust/ Making the car look new
I understand that the point of the game is working with scraps but id love to put in the time and effort in order to make my car look clean and pristine, wondering if anyone has found any way to make the car not look like its been out in the rain for 5 years, in the trailer some of the cars designs they showed off looked pretty clean, granted the trailer is pretty old but my point remains, I reckon there isnt but if there is let me know!

Don't use Crude panels/doors/bumpers and you'll find car paint that you can use to paint your car to your likening. This removes the rust stains.

yeah ive gotten much further past that point but they are still not as nice as id hope for, such as the steel doors and such are still pretty bummy looking but i guess thats as good as it gets!

Insulated, Lead and Armored parts are without rust stains. Don't know about others, haven't gotten that far.

car part conditions also change how they look, but yea, the basic steel panels still have rust and while I don't know for sure it seems like the general theme is that there is going to be some rust on you car.
Maybe that super special tier for end game is free of it?

No exit without texture changes.
I made out of that just by drawing new texture and replace old with it.

Until you get to that point, Armored are pretty clean. But you really aren't going to have your car looking pristine until Olumpium.

you can completely ignore the rust if you use black/crimson/brown as your paint color.

otherwise have to wait for olympium panels and doors until you can get a pristine looking car.

would love someone to make a mod for a clean car though, make rust only appear on dmged cars.

makes sense Cubans fix junk with more junk, it isn't 100% BUT it is not rusty on the top at least.
BUT the wrecks would be the car at the start would be and it would not take long for it to rust up in the environment 70s steal was bad most of the cars are of that era its damp anomalies and acid ones at that will eat it crap old paint not galvanised ever,
you will also need a new type of panel ie salvaged for the ones in the zone and thats dev time.
no point in the armor and the others being pristane its armor its meant to take a beating and
the rest are mad max Maggiver type junk.
there is no point really wastes dev time and the steal would not last long under the conditions of the forest and the zone.

Could you provide a link to download this fix? This rust got me irritated!

Olympium is not clean however. All parts of every kind are covered in rust. It's pretty ridiculous that we have the ability to create a super-car with future tech, and we can paint decals and change colors like a pro, but we're unable to avoid rust? It just looks awful.

It could be that the Remnant really likes rust. This thing is not a station wagon. It's not even an automobile; it only looks like and sort-of behaves in ways that we expect a car would.

If anything, it's more like a creature of the Immaterium that is shaped like a station wagon. It is sentient and puts up with our nonsense only because it likes us even more than it likes rust and gasoline.

Heck, if Ironwood Studios were to let drop that the Remnant is a species of Mimic or a "doggo" from the Plane of Machines, I would be utterly lacking in surprise.

That would require the writing to start actually having defined world structure instead of relying entirely on american mystery tv style oblique non specific statements.
