How do you get LIM Magnets?
I've seen a LIM Magnetizer once or twice but I didn't know what it did. The Magnetic Hammer requires 2 LIM Magnets in its recipe but I have no idea how to make them or find them anywhere.

You put Metal Scrap or Steel Plates in the Magnetizer and it transforms them into LIM Magnets.

What is magnetizer? Is it one of anomalies that is in end-game locations? Or is it some equiplment you get?

It looks like a TRANSMUTER but bigger and on the ground. It only appears in later zones like SMOKESTACKS and RED SPIRES

Ok, thanks, so we also need to explore those locations more thoroughly to find those. Are they marked on map somehow, or are they detectable by resource radar?

they are not marked on the map but they do show up with resource radar

I say these threads are mighty helpful the game is "♥♥♥♥ around find out" Discovery form of progression which is enjoyable I've only had to look up two things.

It doesn't indicate how much scrap and there's a confusing icon which looks like an undiscovered resource below the scrap icon on the machine interface so it would lead u to think u need something else besides scrap
poorly explained mechanic resulting is more wasted time , being made the fool to have to look it up
I am deeply sorry nobody showed up to hold your hand.

It's an extremely simple mechanic. I literally figured it out the first time I encountered it while under pressure with radioactive rocks raining from the sky and a swarm of tourists all around me. Do you want the game to play itself for you?

If you've made it to the Deep Zone then you surely have hundreds of scrap sitting around base. Load up 200 scrap into your no doubt upgraded car storage and search for the magnetizer with Resource Radar once you reach the Deep Zone areas.

Load 200 scrap into it. Boom, should now have all the magnets you'll ever need.

The Lim Magnetizer looks like an oversized transmuter, but it'll be sitting alone off by itself. Not inside a building.

It's 3:1 scrap metal for magnets. The magnetizer itself has a limit on how many transmutations it can do.

I usually just bring 3 stacks of scrap metal (60 units) on my trips to the deep zone and exchange them when i see the opportunity.

I'm sorry, what? The only way to get LIM Magnets is to transmute them? Where does the game tell you that?

Ur so much better than I am at this game and probably at life overall. I'm humbled and honored you would take the time to reply . Thank you sir 🙏

Maybe don't whine about the game "making you look like a fool" when you can't figure out a simple mechanic, and you wouldn't get replies like these.

Nowhere. You gotta figure it out by yourself. As for the farming, once you locate the converter device in the deep zone, they usually need scrap metal (the display will tell you what it needs anyways). The blue icon is basically the minimum amount you need to put in order to produce the item, hence why it is likely it just spits scrap metal again for some people. IT works on ratios as someone mentioned above.

This makes LIM magnets a risky trade-off btw, unless you grinded a lot of scrap metal, you get the magnets but run out of an essential to build stuff on the go. Long story short, always plan ahead.

I did find LIM magnets in ARDA Investigator trucks in the Deep Zone. I didn't find many yet, but I found 1 and 4 in two different trucks.
