Can anybody tell me where/how to find the Spike Log anomaly?

I think I've discovered every single anomaly in the outer-zone except for a single "strange" type anomaly.

I have the Abductor, Left-Right and Broken Bunny unlocked, but there is something else that I've just never seen despite it apparently being present at almost every outer-zone location I go to.

I'm assuming it's the Spike Log, but I have no idea what that is. If the Spike-Log is actually a mid-zone only enemy then don't tell me.

I think what you are looking for is a small (about the size of the car) circle with purple liquid like spikes jumping up and down.

This is a spike puddle, and it's a piercing-type anomaly, not a strange-type.

I think it is the one anomaly I have not found in the outer zone. (Besides the remnant ghost, but I am deathless so far.)

For the Remant ghost you actually have to fail a Trip and go back to that exact same zone, you will find a stripped down version of your car that you can scan.

Found the answer in another thread. Apparently it's called the "honey pot", and it just looks like an intact wrecked car (all the doors and panels and what-not still on). Apparently it's easy to find one if you have the resource scanner.

Having the same issue finding this thing. Started a dedicated search for it soon. Wondering if its an off-road thing.

Its purple spikes on ground that you can find in first zone for some reason in mid zone it have different name

The spike log is in the middle zone and does look very similar to the spike puddle on the ground.

Another tip, its never on the road. But yeah, otherwise looks very similar to spike puddles, but log-ish rather than a big round patch.

It's not spike puddles. It's either this "honey pot" or remnant ghost. I've yet to die in this game yet so I wasn't aware of how remnant ghosts worked.

Just went and tested it, it was a honey pot! The resource scanner shows an icon for a strange anomaly and it's a wrecked car that once you approach it sets off a ton of anomalies
