Why does Paint and Decals have durability?

Title. Does anyone know if there is a way to craft more of a particular paint and decal after you find it, or maybe to disable paints and decals specifically from having durability?

I absolutely LOVE the classic station wagon look with light blue and wood paneling, and while I found both the light blue paint, and wood paneling, they are about to wear out since I have to replace doors and panels regularly.

I understand actual parts having durability, it's a part of the game and makes sense. However I strongly dislike whenever ANY game puts durability or number of uses on STRICTLY cosmetic items.

Same. I'd love to disable paint/decal durability. Otherwise I'm compelled to ONLY use the cosmetics I have duplicates of. Yay black paint.

Yeah, I agree this is a rough and annoying decision. Especially since paid stuff also has durability which just feels... Gross.

I completely agree, paint and stickers shouldn't have durability, since they don't give any type of gameplay advantage.

Durability for tools make sense, but I don't see the point of limiting paint options. Would be a lovely change.

Yeah, I wouldn't even mind if regular decals had durability (id still rather not...) but the paid stuff shouldn't run out.

I would even settle for having to recraft them. I hope this gets fixed in an update, I have no intention of using decals I cannot replace.

Agreed. Cosmetics should never have durability. ESPECIALLY if you paid real money for them. That's just greed. "Hey, buy these cosmetics... over and over again because they keep wearing out..."

The cosmetics that are from the deluxe edition reappear in the paint locket after is finished. Was the first thing i tested xD

durability for paints and decals is just plain bad.
tbh I would also remove durability for tools. I stopped having fun 5 hours ago doing runs just to farm the materials I need for the tools to farm the materials. Especially because there are like 4 kinds of buildings. I'd much rather focus on driving and fixing the car along the way.

Everything has durability in reality. Although paint and decals should have really high durability.

At the very least, being able to craft them would be nice. Or integrate decals into the customization kiosk next to the paint shelf?

The decoration system is kind of a mess; I have way too many paints to fit in the paint locker. It'd be nice if once you found a color or a decal in the wild it just stayed unlocked at the station. I'd much rather find the color red once and then just have to collect Red from the paint station every time I wanted to paint my car red instead of having six half-full cans of red mixed in with every other color of the rainbow.

I've haven't played that much but I've got tonnes of different paint running out won't be an option while redecorating.

i wish u could disable it too, kind of annoying to find a decal which you rly like, in my case its the animal stripes, n through out all my hours ive only found 2 of em so i have to use em extremely sparingly
