Modifiers on Car Parts
Can someone explain what these % modifiers mean? They don't seem to show up on newly crafted parts...

Adjacency bonus - I spotted some description somewhere that discussed it, can't find it for the life of me, and started watching the readouts as I juggled insulated/Leadlined/armored items around.

Bumper, hood, door, panels, they all seem to confer part of their stats to neighboring pieces. I assume the layout logic matches the garage's readout panel.

Huh, that could be a part of it. I had some Summer Tires with a bonus, but when I swapped them with new tires the bonus was gone, so at least part of it is attached to the parts themselves.

A part of me thought it was wear and meant increased damage from certain types since parts I reused more seemed to have higher values. However, if they are beneficial then it could be that every successful trip imparts a 5% damage reduction buff or something.

i think that they are kind of like the quirks your car gets, but for the individual parts. ive got a tire with +70% electric resistance, but i found a wheel with -300% sharp resistance, so i guess its a way of making parts unique, and maybe better over time? might be a way to incentivize repair over replacing parts too.

I noticed this too. I think parts gain stats over time, possibly as an incentive for you to repair your existing parts and keep using them as opposed to going the cheaper route of simply replacing doors and panels.
