NvTrueHDR driver level mod for SDR games

Guys, a new driver level HDR option is available if you're on Nvidia GPU's. It's called NvTrueHDR on Nexus Mods and it takes two minutes to setup and use in ANY SDR game! Check out Digital Foundry's video on it, or just google it. Super easy to use and is a hidden driver level feature that will become available in a future driver update!

Just install the new Nvidia App and drivers. Then enable the RTX HDR from the overlay (Alt+z).

Oh, can you confirm etc hdr is in the new beta app? I haven’t installed it yet. I know the etc video hdr is already in the driver but I didn’t know they added the one for games in this new app? EDIT: yup, just installed the new Nvidia app and it works great in the overlay. Just have to add as filter and then restart game and it just works. Unfortunately the only limitation I've found is it not working on any gamepass games.

I've tried the new app with the latest gameready drivers. The option to use RTX HDR isn't there. I'm assuming it's because I'm still using windows 10? I wonder if this mod has the same limitation?

nah, the mod will actually work without the new nvidia app, so long as you have HDR enabled in windows. However, I have tried the new nvidia app on windows 11 and it works nice and makes using RTX HDR way easier to fine tune if needed. Why not upgrade to 11 btw? EDIT: well..i can't say for sure since I'm obviously not on W10, but I imagine since its just hidden in the driver that it would.
