Is it possible to run out of fuel at the garage?

You might have a quirk thats eating your fuel. That said, its not possible to run out, the gas pump by the car has endless fuel.

No I meant the gas pump. I thought the bar was full at the start but it slowly seems to become less. Or was it always just like 95% full?

I'm personally running the challenge of not using the fuel pump in the garage and having to scavenge all my fuel there's more than enough fuel out and about. If you manage to empty the pump you could still get a tiny bit of fuel from the numerous wrecked vehicles you drive past behind you.

And the continuously regenerating wrecked car by the garage that always has a bit of fuel in it. I'd start by using that each run if the pump is steadily depleting.

I only got that once, after that it's back to regular wrecks.

Yes, that fuel pump in the garage slowly depletes, but the likely hood of you actually burning through it all before beating the game is low. If you do get through it, there's another full pump just outside the exit garage door on the right. Just remember to stop and use it before tearing out.

I stopped using the main gas pump inside garage due to this bc it seems like there is a limit, I use the fuel synthesizers to get gas now, there is also the pump in the front of the auto shop that I think respawns every trip

I think there's probably an option to turn off finite fuel in the auto shop pump when you start a new game as well as a ton of other game play options you can tweak. For example I saw an option to turn on auto repair and refuel every time you return to the shop. Most likely the devs put these startup options in there for modern game journos. XD

As someone who is late game asf, and already put my own post about this issue, the gas pump definitely has enough fuel to last you more than the entire game's run but it is weird that it doesn't refill. idk if anyone has tried to empty it yet.
