I agree. Best single player experience so far this year.
The optimization is pretty ass though, I was a bit disappointed on that part. Navigating some of the menus are not as intuitive as one might wish.
Overall I've been happy with the game, feel it's priced reasonably, and with the dev team already having dropped 3 hot fix patches since launch I have hope they will at least try and do the game and community right. Though only time will tell.
Mental issues
Yeahhhh the runs are around 20 mins, there is a few story runs that due to them not triggering storms until yountrigger a certain point you can spend infinite time in a zone looking for the last scrap of commonly found metal, but they can also be done in 20 mins.
As I have said before stardew valley days cannot be split only saving at the end of the day and it feels like the same amount of time.

I say underfunded, cause I do believe they've been working on this game for over 4 years.
With the big titles i've been burned so many times i wait 2-3 months before buying them. until the reeee kids reviews have died down and you are able to read actual reviews over the state of the game and purchasability.
With smaller developers like this its easier to give support when they offer something that is not copied out of other developers to "stay on the hype train".
Pacific drive delivers a new and well done experience wich i support fully and im glad to give them my money. I literally do not care if EA games would go bankrupt tomorrow. As most titles i've enjoyed the most are made out of indie developers.
We have to stop everybody from pre-ordering a game before they try it, buy a game as is. Look at Cities Skylines 2 right now, there's a lot of drama. Then look at the bigger games like BF2042 and Ghost recon, and Halo back in 2022, there's more too. Not every dev stops stupporting their game after launch, but there is a trend of some of the big companies. Cities Skylines 2 isn't made by a mega company, so that trend maybe trickling down to the entire industry. Luckily, IGN is calling these games out and not giving them a 7/10, that's the quickest way to tell if a game isn't finished (but not guaranteed).
and ye, they paid for this game with this savegame mechanic
it is about taking responsibility for your own life.. take responsibility for your own actions and decisions... you do like something? then buy it, if you can.. you dont like something? then dont buy it.
played myst, never played riven.
i'm excited for stalker 2.
Closest game today I think is The Witness
I wouldn't care as much if *all* the stickers were found items, but the sexual stickers are unlocked from the moment yoiu unlock the customization station, and everything else is locked.
Hate of what? Of the game? Of the save system? Please expound.
Pacific Drive is pretty mid.
