Now, I wonder, with that many potential options, how strongly are potential quirks curated? I'm all for chaos and wouldn't mind things get weird, but I don't think the devs would go as far as to allow things like "wiper goes to the left, door detaches" to happen.
That being said, the quirk I got is not only an absolute nightmare express-designed to kill me, but the game seems to refuse to acknowledge or even give me the options to properly diagnose it in the menu. Every time I start a gateway link and have to rush to exit a level, my car's top speed immediately drops to ~20, but I don't see anything in the diagnosing options regarding the ARC Device, and regardless of whether I put "Car > Moves Slow" on the left or the right half of the equation, the terminal tells me I got 0/4 guesses right. YOU CAN'T TELL ME THE CAR ISN'T GOING SLOW AFTER IT'S NEARLY GOTTEN ME KILLED THREE TIMES ALREADY, GAME.
I like the concept of the possibility of getting a quirk now and then that has to be worked out. But in my opinion they happen far too often. I get at least one almost every time I go on a run at this point. Also some of them are really obvious and easy to figure out, and while slightly annoying don't have any real impact on anything. Others however can severely affect critical aspects of your car without any indication they even exist or what's causing them. You have to keep an eagle eye on things like fuel and battery consumption rates to make sure you haven't picked up a quirk that's going to guarantee you die next time you leave the garage. That part of it I can't say I'm really a fan of.
