I'm playing on ultrawide 3440 x 1440 and this keeps happening to me too.
Resolution settings won't save!

yeah i think its a display bug, it just looks liked 720p because of the filter they overlay, the way the textures look and the tiny base fov

where can i even change the resolution??

While in-game the in-game menu looks like it resets back, but at the main menu it is what you set it to. That is at least for me.

If you tab out, it resets to window mode and a lower resolution. I have to manually choose full screen and the resolution each time. Being it is only when I alt tab out, it is not a big deal. Better than crashing.

it seems those settings are bugged.
i usually play games in 1600x900 window mode (because preference, deal with it incase anyone screams now)

but, it wont let me putt the game into window mode.
i even tried to edit the config.ini which you can find in the game folder but, the game literarly ignores every single change.
its kind of weird tho. i mean i will have no issue to play in borderless and 1920x1080 but i would love it if i could go to my preffered settings, the 720p thing didnt happened to me tho. i cant even choose any other resolution. only 1920x1080 is available.

i hope there comes a patch soon XD.

Workaround:
Go to your steam location, then steamapps\common\Pacific Drive\PenDriverPro\Config\WindowsNoEditor
in here open GameUserSettings.ini in here change resolutions settings, and now it should work without any issues until developer resolves the issue.

doesnt works, i just wrote that i tried that. the game ignores that completely.

Game definitely ignores the GameUserSettings.ini, I've tried a ton of things to no avail.

I had trouble with this as well, i changed the settings in the INI file that i found in the gamefiles then spammed alt+enter a few times in game and it finally remembered my settings (like hard swapped from 1080 fullscreen to 720 windowed like you're trying to play), now i just don't touch them out of fear of making it forget whatever dark magic my ritual awakened.

same for me.
but I think it's just a visual/text bug in the menu.
I've tried to fumble around with resolutions, taking screenshots of the game with different res. etc.
when I set my native resolution, go back to the game, then back to the options, it says 720p but it seems to run in my native resolution. It's in no way running at 720p for me even if the options tell me so.

correct me if I'm wrong.

It's only a visual bug.

it cant be a "visual" bug if you literarly cant go into window mode o_o.
weiss Feb 22, 2024 @ 7:45pm
the recent patch they did fixxed it tho o.o
Wenski Feb 22, 2024 @ 8:09pm
Recent patch hasn't fixed it for me and it is in fact loading in a lower resolution not just visually incorrect in menu.
