PSA The Garage auto vac IS NOT STORAGE!! It will delete all your stuff!!

If you have a strange feeling that you're nearly six hours in and all your stuff keeps disappearing slowing down progress it's because every time you leave the garage most of your loot gets deleted. The auto vac is only for retreiving lost items and does not look after your items when you leave the garage. This is a real bummer because I thought this was a great hassle free storage solution dump everything on the ground suck it up grab it back when you need it.

lol isn't dumping it on the ground more button presses than just opening the inventories and tappiing T? Most items you have to move get moved when you tap T, it will move all materials from the inventory your mouse is hovering to the other one.

brutal... at the very least it should move stuff to your built storage objects... that's a big miss for QoL.

why did you assume it was storage in the first place? in no way and at no point in time did it ever even come close to suggesting that the vacuum might be storage, its not, its a quick pick up system for you to grab everything quickly and put it into the actual storage that it specifically told you was actual storage

Absolutely unforgivable to set up this mechanic, make it appear that the storage bin in the vac is where all your mats are stored and then have them get blinked out of existence the second you leave. How did they mess up so impossibly for a second time now. It's like Ironwood has absolutely no actual idea how to make a game beyond the abstract basic concepts.

I don't know what you're talking about.. there is a vacuum tube next to the door, that's attached to the machine you can use and see the items there, I had items in there from my previous run, so its not a delete on next cycle thing

Wait, you've been using the vacuum for STORAGE?
I thought it was just for retrieving lost items you had dropped - I mean, there's MULTIPLE expanded storage upgrades in the upgrade tree.

Sorry... but if you've been using a vacuum cleaner for storage it's on you, not the devs.

There are actual storage containers and you can research and build more of them. If you've been using the vac then you must have thought it was an exploit.

Its main purpose is to suck stuff up so you can use the trunk to pick it up and dump it into a storage locker.
