[QoL request] Dualsense controller haptic feedback- Triggers too strong
Thank you for making such an amazing game! Gonna skip to the point so I don't waste your time :).

It's great that you implemented dualsense haptic feedback for pc as well!

Unfortunately (at least for me) the trigger force feedback is a bit too strong.

I constantly have to fight with the accelerator (right trigger), which is always pushing to go back to neutral, to the point that after a few minutes of driving I need to start shifting finger positions to avoid pain/discomfort. I have some tendonitis in my elbow and wrist which I am sure does not help, but I have seen other posts with similar complaints.

Similarly, I think the left trigger (braking) is too strong. I feel like I have to almost break the trigger in order to brake properly, and this also makes it hard to control the "intensity" of braking.

I can't make specific suggestions with regards to what would be a good solution. Maybe a slider to adjust the magnitude of the trigger force feedback? Or maybe an alternative "soft mode" where force feedback is only applied proportionally to the first derivative (rate) of input speed... in other words, the faster I want to fully depress the trigger, the more resistance it will apply. This might also make for a nice gameplay element since the more tense/in a hurry you are, the stronger the feedback).

Anyways, congrats again for the great game! This is a small gripe that is easily solved by using another controller, but it would be great to enjoy the haptic feedback to the fullest since you clearly put a lot of effort and care in it.

I just wanna turn them off full stop. Absolutely baffled there's no option for this

Maybe try activating Steam input in the (Steam) options for the game?

Usually that tends to override trigger haptic feedback for dualsense, although I read somewhere that in this game it may cause double input without deactivating the triggers... still, might be worth a shot :)

I used DS4Windows with the demo and it was as well. Haven't had time to play the full release just yet, but I'm sad to hear that there's no adjustments available still.

This please! I use a controller because I have carpel tunnel, but this rumbling actually causes enough discomfort to the point of pain.

I tested with 3 dualsense controllers, all 3 are in pristine condition, one of them purchased a few weeks ago, and on all 3 the acceleration trigger is buzzing like a tattoo gun the entire time you're driving. I have always disabled haptics and trigger effects to extend the life of my controllers, and I've tested them in other games to be sure and the motors aren't worn out or malfunctioning.

Driving is very uncomfortable and feels like you're fighting something the entire time, not just feeling the road under you. I have only mild carpal tunnel that certain movements tends to aggravate every few years and within 5 seconds of starting the game I could tell this would be a deal breaker even for me.

I hope a toggle to disable haptics and trigger effects completely gets patched in soon so I can purchase a copy and support you guys. It's cool that you thought to add support for haptics at all, that's appreciated for those who like it I'm sure.

Edit: Seems worse in the opening moments. Controller quieted down a bit by the time I got the wagon but it's still uncomfortable to drive.

I was wondering if I was the only one with this issue. I tried the game with controller for all of 10 seconds before I unplugged it and went back to keyboard and mouse. I genuinely thought it had to be a bug or something, cause I was having to squeeze my right trigger like a damn stress ball to get the thing to depress fully. It didn't mimic the feeling of driving a car at all. Honestly felt like I was trying to make a car move that had no tires and only rims.
