No native HDR support in 2024 is a crime!
Not saying anything about the general quality of the game, but releasing a game in 2024 without native HDR support is a big bummer. There are so many people with OLED displays nowadays and this game is perfect for HDR. For now we can mod it with RTX HDR, but still wanted to mention that!

If you're on Nvidia GPU there's a new driver level HDR mod on Nexxus Mods that lets you add real HDR to any SDR game that deosnt' have native support and it looks GREAT. It's called NvTrueHDR. Google it! Takes literally two seconds to set up and use.

Did you read my post? That's what I mentioned in the last sentence. Sure we can mod it into the game, but native HDR is still better if implemented properly.

I'm using a qd-oled and personally found max peak brightness/ 50 middle grey/ 50 contrast/ 15 saturation with RTX HDR to give the clearest and most impactful HDR.
Windows auto HDR unfortunately doesn't impress, whilst the SDR presentation seems to be lacking a lot of depth.

The only issue I've found is the HUD becomes extremely bright in contrast to the any darkness in the game, which can be pretty distracting. Lowering peak brightness can help alleviate this, at the cost of bright whites.

Hi
i'm trying to get this work with RTX HDR but for me is not enabling
Can you tell me what steps you did to make work?

For me, I just downloaded the Nvidia app beta, allowed it to overwrite my Nvidia experience app, then selected the Pacific Drive profile and turned on RTX HDR.
I'd suggest leaving RTX dynamic Vibrance as it washes out the blacks.

You can press Alt-Z to open the app overlay and adjust the HDR settings through "game filter". Personally, I found 700/50/50/15 to work best for my monitor so far (at least for nights) but don't be afraid to have a play around to see what you prefer. :)

Also, turn off windows auto HDR if you have it on.

I love how people with top end or rare peripherals always complain when their 1% gimmick is not supported by every damn game under the sun.
classics such as :
- doesnt work on my steamdeck (bro it hardly works on an rtx3080 get in line)
-I want ultrawide support ( good for you now sit down)
-this should be in vr
and on and on

Yeah, even if it was the exact same, that's a basic ass feature in this day and age that they should have had a long time ago along with ultra wide not something that they're "researching solutions" for.

HDR and Ultrawide aren't ultra high end features any more, around 5 percent of people use ultrawide and I haven't seen a new monitor aimed towards gaming that doesn't have HDR in years.

This comment contributes nothing but a highlight of your narcissism.

You might wanna check how many people are using oled monitors by now before making such incompetent comments.

in the grand scheme, almost no one. I'd rather devs focus on getting the game to run as optimal as possible for people with normal pc's instead of investing in featuers that almost no one will use. Ultrawide for gaming imo is also just stupid for most games and all games that are first person.

That's some high level ignorance, respect

That's only for Windows 11.
