Well, I played the demo for quite a while.
Part of the atmosphere and immersion is directly dependent on your level of graphics and lighting with shadows. It's not a horror game like SIlent Hill or something similar.
I don't think this is the kind of game that should scare you.

Played the demo as well and it is creepy for sure, stressful at times, but as for a horror? No. The jump-scares are interesting. Try the demo!
