I was originally gonna post here is asking if this is really going to be 1:1 to the final product (but I'll ask that tomorrow when it's out, I guess) because the first thing I did was to try and crash the car by turning it around and gunning for the starting point where the bridge ramp thing was.

50mph on the dash and head-on collision and... I might as well be driving a marshmallow.

Not sure what this game is trying to be because if you want me to care then don't put me in a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. setting with zero consequences. Like the game doesn't respect it's own universe.

I even parked the car under the yellow laser beam-Apex Legend zone shrinking-yellow radiation thing and I think it tickled me forever before moving on.

What are the stakes even?

At least it's only 30 bucks so the dev has a chance at least to come out of this with some monies. Unlike the poor sods that got their studio shutdown when they released The Lamplighters League for 60 bucks on release lol.

The game is intended for end-users who operate above your level of intelligence. Go play Beam NG if you want to crash cars like a toddler.

i sure do enjoy when the game encourages exact, perfect driving to the point where colliding with anything destroys the entire car (sarcasm)
taking 15% or so damage to the part that collides is a fair amount, i have no idea what prompted this
my only guess is you tried to do this in the tutorial with the van which im pretty sure is invulnerable

when you get the car, its already really damaged and slow... this isnt a game where you are meant to be crashing your car constantly, and when you do it should be met with consequence. your car is your lifeline. no car no progress. maybe stop crashing it if you dont want to have a bad time. just a thought

Just now starting to look through the Steam forums to see what people have to say...and I gotta say the levels of autistic whining are off the charts right now. It's like people want to the hate the game before they've even really played it beyond the first hour.

that is legit steam forums for every game ever, its an anomaly of its own.

I guess people see hype and put together that its a good time to bait people for awards and attention.

The car handles like ass and wheels fall off just because. I think the devs are tring to cut you a break because it would be too easy to total your car from collisions.
