Yeah and still performance is awful. Its visuals and framework doesnt justify the demand in any way.
Neither are its visuals highly detailled, nor is the lighting or particle effects really modern (in fact compared to games from 10 years ago it could learn a lot) and the world size, rendering distance etc isnt impressive either.
Remembering what a Witcher 3 delivered on visuals while running fine on a 970 (which it was sold with), then one could expect it to demand more while it doesnt.
Now Pacific Drive is no AAA production of a big studio, but yet performance is certainly an aspect that can only be fixed by the dev, not the user.
Its bad and needs improvements.

Yeah, my CPU is basically idleing at 20 % usage but still only 15 fps. GPU is at 80 % but why then is lowering settings and rendering scale (from 100 to 40 %) not really doing much in terms of performance? There has to be a pretty bad bug or worst optimization I've ever seen on any game.

yah i have a new i7 and 2060 and it ran at 40 fps on medium lol

You have no idea what you're talking about. It's usually indie games that have problems with optimization. You should know that. Artstyle does not impact performance in any game. The unreal engine was never really good in true open worlds. The witcher 3 needed a couple of years to run well on the hardware of the generation. Cyberpunk had garbage performance on release.

Unreal engine was never good with performance at all
Unreal games literally ran at like 20 fps on my first PC

The demo is very heavy and not justified, a graphics like that must do 3-5x the actual performance, there are so many proof games for that.

Hope they improve performance for the potato crowd

Drive... Not run.

:steammocking:

Sorry I couldn't help it and I'll see myself out.

Would be interested to know if they improved the performance on the final release. The demo ran like crap on my older rig.
