Can we get the brightness setting fixed?
Even with the brightness all the way up, it makes no change to the actual brightness.

The garage is so dark, the scenes in general.

I would love to have additional lighting in the garage. I haven't touched the brightness settings but I feel like it could use another overhead light or some lamps in a few areas.

That would be nice, I agree with that.

At least for me, it's unplayabley dark, even with all the settings maxed-out and on. I ended up refunding the game. I've been hanging out here hoping the Devs would comment on it, but I've not seen a word. I've watched some streamers play, and their games are very dark (especially indoors,) too....they must just have a higher tolerance for it than I do.

The Forest had the same problem, and they fixed it eventually, hope they do it here, too.

I read somewhere (maybe here) that the Post Processing setting on Medium causes the game to be much darker than usual even with brightness maxed out, try changing it to at least High to fix it.

Not sure if this is your issue but worth a try. If I max out brightness the game is very bright (ultra settings except Shadows on medium).

I'll definitely try it to see if if changed anything. Worth a shot.

There is an accessibility setting to reduce the darkness.

I'll definitely check that as well. I appreciate it.

Change the Shadows to Medium in your video settings. It makes a difference.

I'll try this too for sure. I haven't been back on tonight but I'll give all these comments a go. Anything to brighten this game up.

This was supposed to be quoted and a reply to yours:

Yeah, the game in general is very dark like you've stated. I've got post processing low or off, whatever the lowest setting is, playing on a low-mid laptop, and it's still really dark. The brightness bar still doesn't seem to do anything either when maxed. The screen looks exactly the same no matter which end of the bar you put it on.

I do hope they fix it, it is definitely eye straining and doesn't make me want to keep playing knowing that others have the same issue.
