Permadeath Mode?
I can appreciate the devs making the game a rogue-lite for accessibility's sake. However, more hardcore players and I would love a true permadeath option! Wherein you restart the entire campaign from scratch if you die. You can hide it in the options so most players aren't likely to select it their first time.

It doesn't feel like there are any real stakes, even on "Lose Everything" mode, when I can just rebuild the entire car from spare crafting materials I have stored in my garage.

More thematically; the heightened tension of possibly losing everything makes you bond closer with your car -- You have to rely on it to protect you from environmental hazards and make it out alive, much like it relies on you to keep it well maintained and repaired. You and your car are in this life-and-death situation together. It makes those little moments of listening to the radio during a rare calm driving section all the more blissful and sweet. All of this much greater reinforces the game's theme of people going mad as they become obsessed with their remnants as you fall in love with your car so much more in a permadeath difficulty.

I'd also love to see some sort of a RNG lock for seeded runs to make it more viable for racing, i think this game would make an amazing speedrun to race but it's a bit unfair not having the same seed.

Yes, give me a high chaos maximum insanity permadeath mode! Honestly, that really does sound like the video game analog to heaven.

Toss in a few serious ambush predators too, for spice. lol No, really, I'd love it!

I read here that there is a setting for this, or at least it sounded like it. Haven't had time to check it but I'm also big on permadeath for roguelikes.

Why can't you just impose it on yourself by starting a new save whenever you die?

Why can't you just play games in your imagination instead of needing other people to make them?
