marsh eggs are pretty much exclusively found in the mires, if you're in the scorch you're not gonna find any
if the route is too long try taking the highway, they're usually quicker to get through. I can get to the mires in two hops. Junction bypass helps with this a lot also. If you don't know what I mean when I say the highway, look for junctions that have a highway shield symbol on them. Once you've jumped out of there you'll unlock a highway route to that location.
Resource scanner is also pretty vital for finding this stuff. I usually find at least 1-2 grottos whenever I'm in a mires location cause of that, and one grotto is usually good for 80 or so eggs
repair bay is a late-game upgrade so it's not something you'll really get from one or two trips unless you're stupid lucky.
if you already know all of this and it hasn't helped you, you're just unlucky looks like. Make sure not to play the lottery.
And are you checking for abundance of resources as well, not just type? Because if abundance is low, chances are there will be only one or two nodes that are easy to miss.
The resource radar was a great help for me in general, use it if you don't already.
I don't know about the escalating damage situation, never had such severe issues myself.
As for the damage, I have no clue about that. I keep debating swapping between corrosive or radiation because mid zone likes to throw either of those as anchor reactions, and it seems like every time I park a good distance it just throws egg everywhere lol.
That damage was after moderate damage from storm and corrosive downpour, so the parts took damage, but they shouldn't have gone to fragile/unreliable instantly like that. they were brand new. Even the interior ones did, which is just crazy to me. About the only thing to survive was the tires lol
I know how to get them, my problem is they just aren't showing up, or in the case of plasma, I really need to make short runs. I don't need to go all the way to zone 3/ far sides of zone 2 sometimes. Sometimes I just need to do a small run for plastic
I havent had crude or steel in so long
Hell, I'm down to making runs in them just to try to mad dash for plasma
The route you choose at the projector zone map is just a suggestion, you don't have to follow it.
It's actually the light. The thermal vacuum has a light on it, the other does not. You can substitute other light sources, like drop a lit flare at your feet, or point the car's headlights at it.
Lighting them up keeps them open / slurpable. You may have to move the source around if it's not the vacuum.
