I'm not aware if that's already in place but is there a modding future for the game? will they open a workshop section? i'd love to see how the game evolve

I don't know about the workshop page, but there's a nexus mod page if you want to check it out.

March 3rd, but wanted to warn just in case. The problem with the mods is that every time the game updates (usually, hotfixes aside) they don't work and are no longer updated as people move on. I keep finding myself in a position where I've become mod dependent. Without them it's tuff to go back. I wouldn't use the mods until the devs allow support, there are better gameplay options now, but still...inventory size, stack sizes, its a killer if you played modded for months.

that's how each and every mod, for each and every game, works

To a certain extent, games that support modding or have modding tools can be made in a way that doesn't constantly render past mods obsolete.

Unfortunately, I don't think it's in the cards for Pacific Drive. It'd be a massive undertaking.

That said, you can still edit the content of the game, quite a lot in fact. Like they've said here though, any time there's a massive update, the chances that a mod will no longer work or break the game are very likely.

The "transmog" mods that make "advanced" panels/doors look like the Steel ones, on Nexus, no longer work because the models are no longer referenced in the IA sheets.
(it can still be done, but the method would have to be updated)

Update to Unreal 4.27 likely broke my stuff again, which I was just done "repairing" after the previous update. But that's how it is.
