And no i haven't encountered that.
Usually when my tires "break" (loose and punctured or whatever it's called) they're usually past 70 miles.
I just exchanged them for fresh ones once got back to the garage.
EDIT: Clearer wording
Are the quirks developed randomly I wonder. I had one develop after encounters with broken bunnies[/spoiker]
They do, it's the "Bald" trait.
To check miles on parts or tires, take tire off the car go in the inventory hover mouse over the tire and hit "v" for more info.
I had *no* idea this could be done. Thanks for the tip!
Install Off Road Tire, is better durability or install the last tire upgrade version, I don't know the name in english, i am playing in French and the French name is : ( Pneu Anti-Crevaison ), with this tire you never break.
Offroad tires are, by far, the best choice overall. They're cheap, they last a good while and they're solid in all the important situations.
After 3-4 runs with a set though, you pretty much need to replace them. (as a set) -- once you start seeing the grey "X" status effects, just replace the whole set.
It's also a good idea to carry at least one or two spares due to blowouts. (and a stack or two of sealing kits)
The all-terrain are almost as good offroad and significantly better on road, but they're more expensive to make and they blow out / fail just as often.
The power-grip are too expensive and drain your battery too fast to be useful long-term.
Although taking a set of these on the last mission isn't the worst idea ever.
The run-flats are pretty decent, and if you're sick of constantly fixing your tires, this isn't a bad choice at all. But, they're godawful in water and not a whole lot better than summer for offroad, so i don't know that i'd recommend them unless you're just tired of the minutiae.
