Game causing other programs sounds to go static?
As title says this is the only game i ever played where over time more and more programs in the background start playing crackled and static sounds. Looking online it can mean the sound bitrate of the game is too high? No other games cause this and I run a steelseries arctis nova wireless pro headset. With a 5800X3D and RTX 4090 and 32GB DDR 4 3600mhz memory.

Primary program in the background which gets very bad over time with this game running is Discord. Pressing my PTT or listening to people gets very static and crackly after an hour.

the first thing i'd test is if it happens with a corded speaker/headset because that would rule out things like your bluetooth, the headset itself, and other stuff. Theres a few things which could be causing this and i'm not sure any of them are directly tied to the game (the game def set it off tho).

If it happens with other speakers than its either software or internal hardware issues, if it doesn't happen with other speakers than the problem is probably isolated to something to do with the bluetooth or the receiver on the headset thats being triggered by the game for some reason.

Its purely just this game. I have done stress-test's while discord is running I can run Cyberpunk 2077 with pathtracing on max and no issue. Something with this game is causing sounds to get static. Also note it is not bluetooth on my headset since its disabled. It runs off a 2.4Ghz lightspeed tech (<1 ms). Also if it was my USB DAC for my headset or headset itself Pacfic drive would also be staticy which it is not. Pacfic drive sounds fine and everything else does not.

Lastly if i close Pacfic drive and restart Discord it goes back to normal. Same applies to other applications like firefox etc.

Check with a wired headset as recommended to rule that out and check that you have enough virtual memory.
