Garage fuel pump running out of gas???

I noticed the fuel meter on the inside fuel pump depleting. does this mean it will eventually run out of gas? Or is it infinite. and if it runs out is this a bug or is it intended?

There is another fuel pump just outside your garage, and by the time they both run out, you are probably gonna 100% the game.

To give you an idea, I’ve already played this game for 70 hours and I haven’t even reached halfway to the first gas pump.

i have 100% the game and its at about 50%

it would take about 150 hours of play time to empty the inside one, then there is the outside one.

and even then there are ways to regenerate gas infintly using battery power, or just using an amp engine which doesnt require fuel at all :D

I carry large fuel canisters around and use them exclusively, which has added a bit of challenge to my runs that I find enjoyable. It also makes finding a large fuel deposit out on the road more meaningful to me because I can make use of a lot more of that resource than I was able to before. I don’t know if I am going to keep this up for the entire game or not, but it is totally possible to play the game without using the pumps at the garage at all.

I don't see why they would bother to let it run out...you can just slap 4 fuel synthesizers onto the car and recharge your batter over and over inside the garage to make infinite fuel.

So why limit the pumps?

I've noticed that too, an at first I was thinking "I there a way to fill it back up?" like a place to empty your gas canisters into, but could not find one.
SO I have been thinking of a challenge the game could add, Limited gas (but refillable garage gas pump) - You only have one or two full tank of gas worth in the garage gas supply, but you can fill it, so you have to bring gas back home to make sure you might have enough if you fail a run, and instead of having full gas cans when leaving you might want to have a bunch of empty ones to fill on the journey, but in return the amount of gas found in the world should be less, especially from tankers and gas stations.
I personally think it would be a good challenge.
