The motion sickness is brutal
I can't play this anymore. I've never had a problem with motion sickness in any other game so I am not sure what it is about pacific drive but just walking around I feel like I want to puke. I've dorked around with the FOV and motion blur settings to no avail. For now this is unplayable... which is too bad it seems like a cool game.

what is your frame rate? maybe it's a low frame rate causing it?

I'm not sure if you tried this but...

Try turning off Camera Bob and Tool Bob under the Accessibility tab > Motion Sensitivity in Settings.

I tend to play First person games fine but if they have a "Head Bobbing" style camera then I get headaches/dizziness after playing for a little bit. Hopefully this will solve your problem...

My system is top of the line, running a 4090. It really shouldn't be frame rate. I'll fire up the game and check. Frame rate varies between 120 and 160 FPS.

I've turned off all the bobbing and motion blur crap, and cranked up my FoV.

Still getting sick.

Try driving without moving the mouse too much and letting the view settle.

This might not help but I know that trying to keep the car directed while trying to keep up with the "view" gives the same sort of scenario that produces actual car sickness.

It does play havoc with your senses, maybe a bit too much for some!

Strange, I get motion sick easily sometimes, especially games like rage 2. But Ive yet to get even slightly in this. Maybe tweek settings around?

You're not playing in an ultrawide resolution without the fix applied, are you? The zoom, especially upwards from 32:9 would very easily make you feel nauseous.

What "fix"?

I have tried lowering the reso and running it in windowed mode with all the settings turned down. Still making me ill. I am noticing a weird jitter when panning around -- it's not the driving, I get sick just walking around in the garage. All I know is with a 4090, this game should look pristine and smooth. I play CS:GO and Rust every day -- and those are full immersion first person games which I play on a wide screen at high reso -- smooth as glass.

I've got a 3090 and a 4k monitor capped at 70 fps. No jitter at all.

You didn't say if you're running an ultrawide. If you are:

Find engine.ini in \AppData\Local\PenDriverPro\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor

and then add this to the end of file:

[/script/engine.localplayer]
AspectRatioAxisConstraint=AspectRatio_MaintainYFOV

On any ultrawide without that fix, the display will be zoomed in. At 32:9 and up, it'll be really pronounced and will give you particular issues when you're in a room, for example. This would explain why the base in particular is an issue for you.

Ever get this sorted? By the time I got to the first garage I nearly vomited it was so bad.

I was having the same issue and the above fixed it!

Never had motion sickness before, even in VR games. This game is actually unplayable for me, I have to lie in bed after 10 mins of playtime. The atmosphere is super cool though!
