Dumpster Pearl - bonus?

Just thought I'd share !
I found a very fancy Dumpster Pearl
Like an actual pearl vs. clump - and when i scanned it, it said I can repair it with a light repair kit. I did this, which made it glow! But then i shredded it and it spit out a TON of stuff. So, unsure if there is a bonus for pearls that have been repaired or not.
Not seeing much on the few wiki's I can find.

Repairing pearls sheesh i bet i had several to repair gonna have to watch for that lol figures. Thanks for looking out.

I don't think i noticed any repair prompt on the ones that look like clumps! This was the first one that was pearl shaped - and it was huge...like the size of a yoga ball

I stopped breaking the pearls down. I believe their loot table might be bugged. I did multiple tests on them, 50 times each on multiple pearls, and the loot seems to be lacking the collectible/cosmetic drop and dropping only bottom tier things, regardless of effect and size. Maybe Pearls are supposed to be trash loot, but if that is the case, I rather cover the floor of my garage with them than break them down. I am up to about 20 in storage so far.
