How do you unlock more suits in the outfit station

I have only the first one from each group unlocked.. the others are locked and its nowhere explained how to unlock them

Crafting the 1st suit will unlock the next one, and so on.

So it's an upgrade path like with the backpack, where one replaces the prior version? No discounts, so getting lead lab coat will need 40 lead, 15 for the apron, then the 25 listed for the coat?

They're sequential upgrades, no discounts (whatever that was implying) for the next upgrade in line.

have you actually looked at the recipes themselves? Do you have all the materials?
If yes then maybe you're missing a scan. Keep going and scan everything.
