BioLantern and BioFlare what are they USed for???

Ive looked all over and tried everything in the game, are they just for light or do they actually propel something please help. thanks

the biolantern is like a makeshift flashlight but pretty purple and lasts 10x as long.

bioflare is just brighter i think.

the lantern is super bright like the blue lights on the side of the road only purple. i imagine the flares are as bright.

theyre brighter and last longer. but i still stick to road flares and crude flashlight because theyre much cheaper. crude flashlights also seems to have more focused light than the biolantern, i think

They provide the most light for the longest duration. That's it.
