Pneumatic lockers
Are these lockers infinite or do they have a limit on how much things you can put in it?

No idea, no limit till now, but a lot of empty metal cabinets in the garage ... :-)
You can create several of the pneumatic lockers, so there could be a limit somewhere.

Yeah, as far as I can tell you can stuff everything into one pneumatic locker, and for materials, there isn't really a reason to split where you put each material... So you can have your non-pneumatic lockers as storage for paints and stuff once the paint shelf is full (which is a little silly that it's not upgradeable as far as I know)
You can also put parts there, which... Makes parts lockers a little moot?

It'd be nice if the pneumatic inventory (also the decal station and fax machine inventories) automatically sorted somehow. Like, best case would be for it to sort alphabetically, or by type then alphabetically, with multiple stacks of the same item displaying as a single entry. (For example, 5 stacks of duct tape simply displaying as 100 duct tape, rather than being mixed in with all the other items.)

I'm having a lot of trouble understanting the point of have 4 pneumatic ameliorations.
as one is infinite, who spend money building 4 times something that is enough if you have one ?

Haven't tested it out but game indicates that the pneumo locker is an access point, rather than separate locker.

So, when you build all 4 of them, you do not get 4 different infinite storage units, but instead one but you have 4 different spots from where to access it.

Nope

They're separate lockers

Though it does help with organizing

I just assumed it was so you could have infinite storage separated by category. For example, I keep resources in the tube by the garage door, spare parts/unused utilities in the one by the gas pump, extra paint and decals in the fabricator room, and extra car parts I want to keep in the one by the parts locker wall. Those tube lists can be a pain in the ass to scroll through, especially on console, so I figure they put in multiples to help you find what you need from storage when you need it.

There is an achievement for unlocking all of the things

I just think it's its a bit too sily to be an infine storage. I mean sure its nice but still I doesn't feel like it fits in the game with infinite storage. A bit too op in my opinion.

But think a bit, without it, what would happen?

You'd be overwhelmed by the crafting materials, whereby every run, you either need to dump them all (not bing back anything) or when in garage, dump the rest to the groud. And while items on garage ground do remain between runs, your garage will be filled with those. That, eventually, leads game crashing.

But to make it more realistic for you, you don't have to build pneumo lockers. Just use regular ones. Or when you have them, don't use them. Dump everything on the ground and live in a dump.

I guess you're right but lets look at this problem from another angle. Why are there so many unused materials every time you are in the garage? They shoud rework it somehow. Maybe
things get more and more expensive as you go through the game? Or the late game items require a lot of early game materials.

"Nooo the game can't make itself more convenient, I DEMAND MORE MINDLESS CHORES!"

Just don't use the pneumatic lockers in your singleplayer game, if you think it makes the experience cheap.

You can actually plan ahead and pin the crafting recepies to your HUD, which then tells which and how many materials are needed. And that shows during the run as well. So, don't collect that much junk. Since in the end, if you are an hoarder, don't blame the game for providing so much stuff.

Also, it depends on difficulty level and your planning. If you mess up your car often, you will have to spend more resources to fix it. Same is when you don't plan the route and drive into unstable junction with active storm in it.

In every game where there are crafting materials that can be collected, there are always some, sloppy ones, to whom the found amount isn't enough to sustain themselves. And then there are those, frugal ones, who find crafting materials to be in excess surplus.
