Confession & question about Happy Hares
Seeing another post here about Happy Hares reminded me of something.

I have a confession - I killed one. Didn't know what it was, panicked, killed it. It was trying to help me. This was early on in the game and now I've not seen one since. Are Happy Hare's a rarity or have they told their buddies I was less than friendly during our first encounter?

To all Happy Hares out there I'm terribly sorry, really I am.

The first time I ran into a happy hare, I yeeted it into the woods in a panic. They'll still appear later, but it is random. Just remember that you can reroll junctions if they are not to your liking.

50 hours of playtime and I've never even encountered one. Didn't even know they were a thing until seeing this post lol. What are they and what do they do?

Hares (or bunnies) are those bouncing balls that attach to your car. There are different versions of them, all with varying effects, and this particular version repairs your car.

Huh, what color are they? I know hares have different versions but I've usually activated my lim thing that gets them off the car so maybe I've seen them but didn't realize they were a different kind.

The happy variant is green, I believe.

2 types of bunnies are good ones. One is green and heals your car, the other one is blue and charged your battery. Happy hare and Hopped up hare

Yeah I've literally only seen them once. They're really rare. Biggest problem s they don't persist when you move to a different junction.

When I found a happy hare, I stuck it on top of my car and drove around the zone with it healing me when I needed it. (really handy for recovering damage after handling anchor cores) When I drove to another junction, though, it fell off the car in transit and didn't go with me.

I was sad.

The acid ones (Burp Bunnies) are more of a bright yellow-green and trail small globs of acid behind them as they hop.
Try not to confuse them with Happy Hares. It's painful.

They might have been. Those exist too. The happy ones are the same colour as the beating heart anomaly if you've seen that and have a very similar pulsating effect to them.

Hares never transition with you through regions. It didn't fall off, they just despawn.
