The Abducters have become a non-issue, is that intentional?
So I'm not far in the game yet, but I have met a few Abducters before. Until now, when I got caught by them, they dragged my car into the next tree or at least a good portion off the road. Now, on my last journey (yesterday), I parked my car and left to get stuff and an abducter has found my car. Naturaly it got angry, red lights and attached itself to my car and then proceeded to "pretend" to drag it. I say "pretend" because it has the animation and everything, but my car didn't move... like at all. I was right next to it and could just watch it.

after a while it gave up and flew away. I checked my car, had no damadge. So I got into my car and drove off. Confused about what I just witnessed.

This was in a forest, but my car was not stuck in trees or anything (I drove off without issues). I also later tried it intentionally on the road. Got caught, parked and yes the abducter couldn't move me... at all. I have off-road tires, if that changes anything. (both where done on th same run)

Is that intentional? are you supossed to be able to ignore abducters as long as you park your car?

The wheels have different levels of grip on different surfaces. Once you get better tires, and as long as you put your car in park, the abductors are no threat when away from your vehicle. They can still pull you in a particular direction, if you get spotted while driving.

If only we had a better way to stop those bubblegum buddies from stealing our stuff from the car that doesn't need battery power.

So the grib of the off road tires (when you park off road) is just that good? that explains everything. Thanks!

Yeah, I believe if it at least an A rating, and in park, it will stay still for the most part. They might be able to move it slightly, but that is about it. I have seen more than one abductor team up and take my car away though.

The parked car is less susceptible to them, I guess it is made so from quality of life point because chasing your car on foot for 5 minutes is not really fun.

Yeah and off-road tires are AA off-road, so that checks out
THEY TEAM UP? that's scary! can't wait to see that happen

Lim Shield stops abductors, bubblegum buddies and hares.

You probably added heavier armor too, it make the car harder to drag (and slower to accelerate)

Yeah but I would have to activate it and have it running while I'm away. Definitely would have to bring more batteries and/or chargers.

I'd much rather there be a more physical way to stop theft, maybe something similar to how we can upgrade our gear to prevent theft from our person.

I just realized that I haven't tried using it in a while and I've got a bunch of battery related upgrades. Gave it a shot, and I stand corrected. It isn't nearly as battery hungry as I thought.

I only had 1 reinforced door, the rest was symple steel plate. So I don't belive that this one reinforced door had this much in pact (at leats I hope not), but good to know for the future :D

Not only as the car improves they have a harder time trying to move it, you can also distract abductors (and a lot other anomalies) with flares if you toss them around.

Further on, you'll meet a new kind of abductor that instead of dragging the car, it will remove random car pieces (including doors, any body parts, attached items, etc). If this happens, the abductor will move a short distance with the stolen item (it will also blink with a red light and sound effect), follow it until it stops. You can then recover the item using the vacuum and makes the abductor inert for a while. Just something good to know, when one surprises you and you suddenly don't have your fave door protecting you from a good amount of roentgens in the middle of nowhere

It worsens when they grab you instead of the car xD.
