Please implement retaking logbook photos
While exploring I'll often find perfect photo opportunities for a resource or anomaly that I already have the logbook entry for, or I'll take a bad photo and immediately want to retake it.

I know its very much a "me" problem but at this point I'm actively avoiding scanning important logbook entries that upgrades are locked behind until I find the "perfect" shot, and even going so far as to resetting the run if I take a bad photo.

Even just disabling logbook photos altogether, or having pre-taken photos (like the entries about the garage) would help alleviate this.

I'm 29 hours in and I haven't left the Outer Zone because I keep resetting levels over and over and It's killing my motivation to keep playing a game that I otherwise really enjoy.:yawning_creep:

The option to change the photo is something I can support

While this isn't something I've done, I understand your pain. I'm stuck with a logbooks image of Spiked Log that's in the pitch-black darkness, so you wouldn't be able to recognise what it is at all.

I'd support making it so that repeated scans add to a "collage" of your various anomaly sightings, so as to better sell the whole "found footage/cryptid hunt" aspect of documenting anomalies.

I'd also like to see the possibility to retake anomaly photos.

It would be easy to implement as well. E.g every time you scan an anomaly, it uses that (latest) as image inside the logbook. Since when you're happy with the image, you just don't scan (update the photo) anymore.

Oh that's why the photos in my logbook are complete ass!

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I wanted to endorse this request also. I absolutely realize that getting good photos in the logbook should not impact my enjoyment of the game, but it does. Something slightly broken in my brain makes me want to reset the run if I get a bad photo. :)

- Please correct distorted photos (I believe stretching instead of cropping the aspect ratio of my display)
- Please disable the outlines and loot highlights in log book photos
- Please allow retaking of photos by rescanning
+2

I loathe some of my logbook entries!
I agree this would be a nice qol feature

Yessss! When I realized scanning an entity also took a photo, I had many that just... did not have the thing scanned in the frame since I was rushing. As a result, I never really knew what things looked like unless I remembered them, and it didn't look great.

The ability to rescan for a better photo would be great!

I mean they already have photo mode in the game. All they would need to do is code in an additional button in the log book that when clicked brings up photo mode, then you take photo, and then it replaces the photo entry for that log entry. Jobs Done. :)

PS - I know game dev is a little more complex than that, but you get the point.

Oh man, this would be awesome.
This would add hours of enjoyment to the game, if done similarly to, for example, Monster Hunter Rise.

I was really looking forward to getting those "perfect pictures" of different strange things and whatnot.
