Duct Tape at the Garage - not enough?

I've scrapped the car outside and am missing 2 pieces of duct tape to be able to craft a Crude Door. This happen to anybody else? I can't find anything else

Did you already craft one? I only got enough material for the one needed for the tutorial.
But there were two missing from the car. Judging from the other posts round here I expect the game to softlock if you mount it in the "wrong" spot.

I haven't tried this but if you put the door in the trunk you can just take it back out and place it where the tutorial is pointing to.

Did you get the 2 rolls out of the toolbox? Where you got the prybar?

Is the magic dumpster active at that point? I forgot. If it is, it'll slowly recharge and spit some new items out if you interact with it. At least it does past the tutorial. Might get lucky.

if you're missing crude parts the dumpster should have your back and spit them out if you can't actually make them

exit to menu and get back into the game will respawn all the loot and the dumpster can be reused.
