Windows7 -dx11 ?
Is there anything -specifically- with this game that will outright prevent it from running on windows 7? such as, "no support for dx11" ?

Yes i have a windows 10pc. And i have a gaming pc that is windows 7. My gaming pc has no telemetry or spyware or malware or antivirus, nor data'mineing blah-blah, because its for games. Its got great access to tweakable CPU and GPU functions and runs faster as 7, then it did with all the extra bloat that win10 choaked it with when i tested a fresh 10 install on a different SSD.

Yes i know win7 is EoL, and 10 will be EoL this year (2024) in October.

I know steam isn't supporting 7nor8 any further. and i know the Upgrade window for win7 OS is closed so you cant hop up to 10 from 7.... I literally I have a win10 install disk. and a second hard-drive with 10 on it already.

i use 10 for """secure transmissions""" like browsing and email, for """safety""" and all that """Noise""" about keeping everyone ~else~ safe from the heresy of vile impertinent windows 7 users. . ⋆Eyes roll⋆

So id just like to know, is there anything malicious intended in the -non- demo release, that will specifically prevent win7 users from using it? Because I've tried out game demos like CosplayClub, which were intended to be all system compatible, luring people to buy on compatibility. and then 'Actual' game has inclusions put in to lock out things like legacy or alternate OS afterword, making the version just paid for, not work on win7 or linux and so on. And im no fan of that kind of bait and switch, i immediately request refund in those situations.

the game has dx11 support. and uh win 10 end of life is on 2025, not 2024 by the by
and holy batman levels of trying to keep that precious little data, you want a tinfoil with that one or a water filter to remove that flouride in the water? Just use linux ontop of DXVK, steam aint gonna launch with win 7

It is, and it does. Maybe you should try a tin hat, might keep those thoughts in your head long enough to research before you speak. : ) Steam is working just fine on this win7 rig, and my BF's and my bud's. We've played plenty of steam games on win7 together through jan/feb. Will that ~continue~ to be the case? dun'know. But try not being so dismissive. It only makes you look bad when your wrong. TY for the dx11 support note at least! that's good positivism. ⋆^-^⋆

PS: yeah i agree about Linux. its my next 'goto' in the coming months, but i want first to get my current win10 disk wiped and 'reinstalled' with AtlasOS.net which IS win10(or 11) with a whole list of changes you make to it after, that snips out the bloat/telemetry/Proven-process-slowdowns(because who wants fluoride right? :P)/and actual_malware_right_on_the_disk_TY_Microsoft/ you should look into it. Once i have that setup nice, THEN ill make an image of it, and give linux mint a go, and see if i can mount the atlasOS in VM-ware. But you know. that's like a mountain of work ahead of me. So ill get to it as life permits.

Still launching and working perfectly fine. Eventually it won't, but if you wanna talk about tinfoil hats, the W10 crowd, like you, said it would happen instantly, that Windows 7 would have all kinds of viruses and NOTHING would work on it. It's still completely fine, and nobody is writing/hosting viruses for W7 because nobody uses it anymore. Why would anybody want to write a new virus or host an old virus if it's only going to affect less than 5% of the people accessing it? People like you put the tinfoil hats on waaaay before the W7 crowd did.
