There is an option to change the fov on foot and in vehicle.

there is but even at max it was still very close...

Came here to say this too - I had the same reaction during the intro sequence, and the FOV slider seemed to do nothing. Then got to the actual car and realized what was going on.

The FOV settings for the introductory drive (in the Van) currently aren't adjustable but that will be fixed in time for launch. It's a known issue and we've already put together a fix for it.

Even when you're in the actual car later on, the FOV slider doesn't seem to do much of anything, or at least it doesn't go as far as it should.

I'm on an ultrawide monitor and there's no reason I shouldn't be able to see the entire interior of the car with full FOV setting. Having to manually look around while driving is a pain and makes me nauseous.

This seems to be an ultrawide bug, I was able to see things much more clearly playing in windowed 16:10 resolutions.

Ultrawide monitors aren't currently supported.

I fundamentally disagree, because a 21:9 aspect-ratio is not enough to give you such a field of view. - Yes, when you increase the FOV of a virtual camera even more, but even at the highest that this game goes, it already distorts things, which just ruins the view anyway.

What's more, as a developer said, there's no ultrawide-support, which is not good in the first place, but that also means that it just crops the image vertically and doesn't add anything on the sides.
Once they (hopefully) implement it properly, it would actually add more to the sides and it wouldn't feel as cramped.
I realized this towards the end of the demo, because most games/engines just add content to the sides natively, so I didn't think it would do this. But I was wondering why things were feeling so cramped indeed, even when maxing out the FOV. - This really needs to be fixed.

Slap this

[/script/engine.localplayer]
AspectRatioAxisConstraint=AspectRatio_MaintainYFOV

into your

C:\Users\(your user name)\AppData\Local\PenDriverProIntro\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\Engine.ini

file. Now you have Hor+ 21:9 Ultrawide.

It would be very good if the developer paid attention to the limitation of the interface on ultra-wide monitors. It’s better to limit the interface to a 16:9 ratio and display the image at 32:9.
